This morning I had my tea while watching YouTube digital art videos at the kitchen table. That somehow turned into Ed and I looking at art studio storage idea videos, which somehow turned into Ed and I going out to look at flooring for my studio addition. We went to a new local flooring store and have now decided to go with 100% waterproof vinyl interlocking plank floor with a rubber backing. It's more practical than ceramic tile because we also decided that the storage cabinets and middle island will now be on rolling casters, and we need a smooth floor. We found a nice light gray faux wood design.

After we left the flooring store Ed suggested we look for a restaurant to have dinner. He was in a burger mood, so we found a burger place. The people were friendly, the burgers, mac & cheese and fries were excellent, but the music was way too loud, so as soon as we finished eating we paid the check, I grabbed my phone, keys and Ed's reading glasses and we left.

The drive home was during rush hour and we hit a lot of traffic. I was grateful to be home and as we were getting out of the van I reached behind my seat for my purse and it WASN'T THERE. Queue panic mode. I had left it hanging on the back of my chair at the restaurant! I felt the blood drain from my face as I fumbled with my phone trying to remember the name of the restaurant as I opened Google to get the phone number. In those few seconds of dialing and waiting for someone to answer I imagined all sorts of things, such as another patron finding it and leaving with it, someone stealing the wallet out of it, etc. The bartender answered and said she had seen my purse on the chair just after we left and put it safely behind the bar. I was SO relieved and grateful. Ed drove us back to the restaurant in typical Ed scary-driving fashion. We retrieved the bag and by the time we got home my nerves were shot.
I was home for about 5 minutes when I remembered that my sister was expecting me early in the morning to help her with her garage sale, over 2 hours away. I put it in high gear and did the dishes, threw on a load of laundry, dyed my roots, cleaned the litter box, and washed my hair all in record time. All that's left to do is pack an overnight bag before bed, and I'll be getting up at about 5 AM to hightail it to my sister's.
Tonight we've got Young Sheldon and Legacies to watch on the TiVo, but I won't be staying up too late.
